What is Caucus and Assembly?

The caucus and assembly process is a series of three events at which the local and state Democratic parties vote to place candidates on the primary ballot, from the lowest to the highest levels of office. We need you to commit to caucus to get Eileen’s name on the ballot.

Who Can Caucus?

Any registered voter in Colorado’s 4 district can caucus, provided their registration is up to date, and they’re registered as a Democrat by the beginning of February 2026. Updating your registration online is easy and takes only two minutes. Note — you can always change your affiliation after March if you don’t wish to stay affiliated long-term.

How Do I Caucus for Eileen?

Never Caucused before? No worries. We’ll have training and send guides along the way. Think of caucus and assembly as a series of votes, each one leading to the next. To be able to take the final vote to get Eileen on the ballot, you must attend all three of the events below.

*For the county assembly, and CD4 Assembly you can find a proxy to vote on your behalf.

Three Steps to Get Eileen’s Name on the Ballot

Step 1: Attend Precinct Caucus

Date: Sometime between March 3rd – March 7th
Location: Can take place virtually or in-person

Democrats across the county gather to elect local party precinct organizers and election judges and to discuss the party’s platform.

Here, you’ll sign up to be a delegate for the County Assembly.

Step 2: Attend County Assembly

Date: Sometime between March 3rd – March 14th
Location: Can take place virtually or in-person

All local, statewide, and congressional candidates speak, and the local and legislative races are voted on for the ballot.

Here, you’ll sign up to be a delegate for the CD4 Assembly.

Step 3: Attend CD4 Assembly

Date: Thursday, March 26th from 5:30 – 8:30pm
Location: Virtually

Delegates from across CD4 meet virtually. Each candidate gives a final speech before the vote on the CD4 ballot takes place.

Here, you’ll vote to put Eileen’s name on the primary ballot.
