orphan COUNTIES:
Baca, bent, cheyenne, crowley, kiowa, sedgwick, washington
WHAT IS AN ORPHAN COUNTY? Any county that does not have an organized democratic party is considered an “orphan”.
Usually, each party is responsible for organizing and executing their own caucus and assembly process. As such, the Colorado Democratic Party organizes a combined caucus and assembly on behalf of the counties without leadership.
If you’re interested in establishing and leading a Dem Party in your county, contact the CDP Chair.
Just because your county is considered an orphan, you are just as important to this process as every other county!
