Lauren Boebert Continues to Vote for the Iran War, Despite Telling Voters Otherwise

Boebert has now voted three times for the Iran War, yet told voters 2.5 months ago that it was time to “get the heck out of dodge”

Highlands Ranch, CO - After publicly warning that Americans did not support a prolonged conflict with Iran and criticizing Washington politicians for being influenced by special interests, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has now voted three times in favor of and to continue the Iran War.

On a March 23 appearance on The Matt Gaetz Show, Boebert said she opposed "two to three months of war with Iran" and argued that Americans wanted to "get the heck out of dodge." She also warned that Washington politicians would be pressured by lobbyists and the military-industrial complex to continue the conflict.

Since then, Boebert has voted to continue the war on March 5May 14, and now again on June 3.

"Lauren Boebert used to campaign against career politicians who said one thing and did another— now she's become one," said Rear Admiral (Ret.) Eileen Laubacher, Democratic candidate for Colorado's 4th Congressional District. "She warned Coloradans that Washington politicians would cave to pressure from special interests and keep this conflict going, and then voted three times to do exactly that."

"After seven years in Washington, Lauren Boebert has become everything she once claimed to be fighting against," Laubacher continued. "She talks like an outsider when she's on television, but votes like a politician protecting the status quo when she's in Congress."

Laubacher, a retired two-star admiral who spent 34 years serving in the U.S. Navy, contrasted her military experience with Boebert's record.

"When it comes to war, leadership means more than rhetoric," said Laubacher. "The men and women who may ultimately bear the cost of these decisions deserve representatives who are honest about where they stand. Lauren Boebert told voters she opposed a prolonged conflict. Her votes tell a different story."
