Job Title: Outreach Consultant

Reports To: Field Director

Compensation: $5,000 - $8,000 or hourly $35-$60 an hour

Start Date: Rolling basis, as needed

Position Type: Full-Time and Part-time positions available

Location: We are looking for outreach consultants in Prowers, Morgan, Weld and Larimer counties

About the Campaign

We are building a people-powered campaign to elect Rear Admiral (Ret.) Eileen Laubacher to Congress and flip Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. Eileen is a national security leader, mom of five, and lifelong public servant who believes in service over partisanship and delivering real results for Colorado families. This is one of the top fundraising House races in the country — and we’re looking for motivated interns to help power this effort.

Position Overview

Outreach Consultants play a key role in connecting the campaign to the community that they live and work in. 

This role serves as the campaign’s trusted local presence in community spaces, identifying meaningful outreach opportunities, building relationships, and helping leadership make smart decisions about candidate time and visibility. 

Responsibilities

Political Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Leverage your personal network to expand relationships with community leaders, elected officials, and grassroots organizations

  • Build and strengthen the campaign’s presence in your specific county. 

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for local stakeholders.

  • Represent the campaign in county spaces and conversations.

  • Work symbiotically with other grassroots efforts, allowing the campaign to work towards similar goals, support the community, and benefit from shared action

Community Insight   

  • Serve as a base of information for landmarks, local leaders, county nuances, and community dynamics

  • Remain informed on top community concerns

  • Collect feedback/insight from local voters to share with campaign leadership

  • Provide information on local news sources and media outlets as needed

County Events

  • Funnel upcoming opportunities and community events to the Deputy Campaign Manager and Operations Director, making informed suggestions about their viability and benefit

  • Build targeted community meet & greets as needed

  • Staff campaign events, town halls, meet-and-greets, and community gatherings

  • Assist with event setup, check-in, photography, and materials distribution

  • Help prepare briefing documents and staffing plans

  • Attend local events as campaign representative

Volunteer Engagement

  • Recruit volunteers for phone banks, canvass launches, events, etc

  • Maintain knowledge of volunteer opportunities and ways for people to get involved

  • Respond to questions and concerns from local volunteers

  • Partner/Work  with the Field Organizers 

Daily Operations & Field Work

  • Assist the team in meeting time-sensitive outreach goals by making calls or knocking doors

  • Attend team meetings as scheduled 

  • Keep Votebuilder updated with interactions, shift sign-ups, and other relevant information about local voters and volunteers

  • Step in as needed to complete priority tasks and support day-to-day campaign operations

Qualifications

  • You are deeply integrated and have strong relationships within the community of a single county in Congressional District 4.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to remain flexible and adapt to campaign needs

  • Comfortable working with voters, volunteers, and staff in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Google Suite; experience with NGP VAN is a plus

  • Some evenings and weekends required

  • No formal prior campaign experience required– volunteer experience is welcome
