FINANCE DIRECTOR
Job Title: Finance Director
Reports To: Campaign Manager, Taylor Gillespie
Salary: $6,000–$8,000/month
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Full-time, through November 2026
Location: This is a primarily in-person role based in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. You are expected to work on-site most weekdays, with limited telework flexibility. Evening and weekend availability is required for in-person events and campaign activities.
About the Campaign
We’re building a people-powered campaign to flip Colorado’s 4th Congressional District and elect Rear Admiral (Ret.) Eileen Laubacher. Eileen is a national security leader, mom of five, and public servant with deep roots in Colorado and a deep respect for the Constitution. This is a high-stakes race against Lauren Boebert, and we’re looking for a Finance Director who’s ready to bring hustle, strategy, and integrity to the fight.
Position Overview
The Finance Director will serve as a senior member of the campaign team, leading all aspects of fundraising strategy, execution, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in political fundraising, strong management and planning skills, and a sharp eye for both relationships and results. This is a critical role in a nationally targeted race with high growth potential.
Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising
Develop and manage an aggressive finance plan to meet ambitious fundraising goals with defined raise goals
Identify and cultivate donor prospects (individuals, PACs, institutions) at all levels
Build and maintain call time program, prep materials, and follow-up systems for the candidate
Plan and execute donor events (virtual and in-person), including logistics and guest outreach
Draft briefing memos for donor meetings and events
Track national fundraising opportunities, endorsements, and allied organizations
Team & Operations
Manage daily and long-term fundraising schedule and donor communications
Oversee compliance in partnership with the campaign’s legal/compliance vendor
Maintain accurate donor records in NGP or similar CRM system
Support digital fundraising efforts with insight and list segmentation strategy
Coordinate closely with campaign manager, call time manager, and consultants
Produce weekly fundraising reports
Donor Stewardship
Ensure timely and personalized follow-up and thank-you outreach
Build systems to deepen donor engagement across giving tiers
Monitor fundraising performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly
Cultivate donor relationships on behalf of Eileen and speaking knowledgeably about state of the race, campaign plans and persuasive messaging
Qualifications
2–4+ years of experience in campaign fundraising
Proven ability to meet and exceed fundraising goals in fast-paced environments
Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Experience with NGP VAN, ActBlue, Monday, Numero, Google Suite; proficiency with Excel preferred
Creative problem-solver with high attention to detail and commitment to integrity
Passion for electing Democrats and defeating extremists like Lauren Boebert
