Salary: $6,000 - 7,000month
Start Date: ASAP
Position Type: Full-time, through November 2026
Location: This is a primarily in-person role based in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. You are expected to work on-site most weekdays, with limited telework flexibility. Evening and weekend availability is required for in-person events and campaign activities.
About the Campaign
We’re building a people-powered campaign to flip Colorado’s 4th Congressional District and elect Rear Admiral (Ret.) Eileen Laubacher. Eileen is a national security leader, mom of five, and public servant with deep roots in Colorado and a deep respect for the Constitution. This is a high-stakes race against Lauren Boebert, and we’re looking for a Deputy Finance Director who’s ready to bring organization, drive, and follow-through to a fast-paced, high-growth campaign.
Position Overview
The Deputy Finance Director will support all aspects of the campaign’s fundraising operation, working closely with the finance consulting team, Campaign Manager, candidate, and compliance team. This role is ideal for someone with political fundraising experience who is data-driven and thrives in a detail-oriented, fast-moving environment and is eager to take the next step in campaign finance management.
The Deputy Finance Director will help execute the campaign’s finance plan, oversee day-to-day operations, and ensure that donor engagement, call time, and events run efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Donor Management & Call Time
Manage and maintain candidate call time lists, call sheets, and follow-up systems.
Track pledges, contributions, and outstanding commitments.
Support donor cultivation and outreach, including drafting thank-you notes and follow-up correspondence.
Prepare and organize briefing materials for fundraising meetings and events.
Event Planning & Execution
Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person fundraising events.
Manage event guest lists, invitations, and RSVPs in collaboration with hosts and the Finance Director.
Support staffing and logistics for the candidate and senior staff at fundraising events.
Communicate with fundraiser hosts as needed and be able to develop a comfortable rapport with key donors.
Finance Operations & Reporting
Maintain accurate and timely donor records in NGP or similar CRM systems.
Assist in producing weekly fundraising reports and performance metrics.
Support donor research and help identify new prospects.
Coordinate with the compliance vendor to ensure all contributions are properly documented.
Team Support & Collaboration
Work closely with the Finance Director and Campaign Manager to execute the overall finance plan.
Support digital fundraising efforts through list management and segmentation insights.
Communicate professionally with donors, hosts, and campaign partners on behalf of the campaign.
Contribute to a positive, mission-driven, and collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in political fundraising or campaign operations.
Understanding of compliance principles and knowing when to call attention to potential donation or donor flags.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable connecting with hosts, representing the campaign and candidate key priorities in one-on-one and small group conversations.
Familiarity with NGP VAN, ActBlue, Google Suite, Numero and Microsoft Excel preferred.
Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Passion for electing Democrats and defeating extremists like Lauren Boebert.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
